HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania's Republican Party on Monday endorsed York County's district attorney, Dave Sunday, for state attorney general out of a three-person field. The party's endorsement came the day before candidates could begin collecting the required number of voter signatures to get on Pennsylvania's primary ballot. Sunday won the endorsement over state Rep. Craig Williams and Katayoun Copeland, both former federal prosecutors who hail from Delaware County in southeastern Pennsylvania. No Republican has been elected attorney general since 2008. Josh Shapiro ’s second term as attorney general and doesn’t plan to run for the office.

Williams, a former federal prosecutor and former U.S. Marine Corps pilot and prosecutor, is the third Republican to declare his candidacy. In an announcement video, Williams says, “I'm running for attorney general because I know how to deal with violence. As a freshman lawmaker, he became one of two House Republicans tapped to lead the impeachment of Philadelphia's progressive district attorney, Larry Krasner. The two other Republicans who have announced their candidacies are York County District Attorney Dave Sunday and former federal prosecutor Katayoun Copeland. ☆ Bear spotted at Disney World prompts closure of parts of Magic Kingdom

CNN —A bear that prompted partial closures at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on Monday was captured without incident and is being relocated, according to a news release from Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission. Nearly a dozen attractions were closed on Monday at the time authorities were trying to locate the bear at Magic Kingdom, according to the My Disney Experience app. WESHIt was not clear if the closures, or how many, were related to the bear sighting. CNN has reached out to Disney for more details about specific closures but has not heard back yet. There are three other major parks at the resort: EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
